We hope you find the information useful.
The two villages of Great Hampden and Little Hampden are situated between Great Missenden and Princes Risborough in the beautiful Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire. All this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). We also have a mixture of other preservation policies which govern the area too. These range from Conservation Area, Green Belt, Listed Buildings to Agricultural Production zones and the like.
Hampden House, Church and Public House are the three main focal points to Great Hampden village, next to the community hall and cricket ground, whilst Little Hampden, lying to the East has a 12th Century church and small green.
We have 5 Parish Councillors, plus our Clerk, who meet 11 times a year, on the evening of the 1st Tuesday in the month, excluding August. Meetings are held in Great Hampden Village Memorial Hall and normally begin at 6.00pm. Agendas are available to view on our noticeboards, and here on our website, prior to each meetings.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings and there is an opportunity for members of the public to speak at the commencement of each meeting.
In addition, there is a parish meeting held every year, normally preceding one of the Parish Council Meetings. Every elector in the Parish is entitled to attend the parish Meeting and speak on any local matter or ask questions of the Parish Council.
